Happy New Year

I hope 2025 finds you well and happy.

This year I have decided that I need to be more organised and this involves spending more time inside on the computer, something I quite enjoy but feel like it's wasting time. It’s not, and I need to keep reminding myself, all those IT jobs just take longer than I think they should! This will mean I intend to turn up here more often with a short rundown of what I’m upto with the flowers, thing that I have discovered in my growing life that I feel the need to share, and a bit of other stuff going on in my life.

As a starter, today I got out my dried flowers and the heart frames I made at the end of 2024 and started decorating them ready for valentines day. It was far too cold outside for me to do anything in the field and this is a job that I definitely need to do sooner rather than later. I will post pictures later this week. I’m also reading again, I used to do this a lot years ago but life seems to got in the way over recent years, or I’ve been distracted!! Currently I’m reading ‘Creating a Forest Garden’ by Martin Crawford. It’s a book I've owned for years and something I want to do, we have just bought some lime trees for salad leaves. The first of the trees for this project are awaiting planting once we can clear an area and it warms up a bit. And we decide where we are going to put them. Still need to finish the book, better get on with it.
